MEETING OVERVIEW - On Tuesday, June 28, Tucson House residents and administration, Housing & Community Development leadership, and representatives from Gorman & Company met to discuss safety concerns and early plans for the building remodel.
SAFETY OVERVIEW - Housing & Community Development and Tucson Police are working with Tucson House management to improve building security. Residents are encouraged to follow safety measures and log complaints related to unauthorized activity and noise complaints. All incidents and reports are being logged. In a dangerous situation, call Tucson House security or the police.
Safety Measures for Residents:
Be aware of your surroundings when you enter and exit the building.
Do not allow non-residents into the building. Non-residents must check-in with a photo ID.
Report lost key cards to management.
How to File a Complaint:
Fill out a complaint form at the management office.
Call the management office and leave a message.
Leave a note with management.
BUILDING REMODEL OVERVIEW - Construction will not begin for at least 18 months.Staff will work closely with residents to keep them informed and on planning the next steps. A team from Gorman & Company will consult with residents on moving to temporary residences during the multi-phase project.
ABOUT THE CO-DEVELOPER - Gorman & Company was selected as the co-developer for the remodel of the building. Gorman & Company is a nationally respected developer of housing, with many of their projects being in affordable housing and rehabilitation of older apartments. Gorman & Company also have a strong record of securing funding for large-scale projects and working with governments on the local and federal level.

RESUMEN DE SEGURIDAD - Vivienda y Desarrollo Comunitario y la Policía de Tucson están trabajando con la administración de Tucson House para mejorar la seguridad del edificio. DESCRIPCIÓN GENERAL DE LA REMODELACIÓN DEL EDIFICIO - La construcción no comenzará hasta por lo menos 18 meses. El personal trabajará en estrecha colaboración con los residentes para mantenerlos informados y sobre la planificación de los próximos pasos. Un equipo de Gorman & Company consultará con los residentes sobre la mudanza a residencias temporales durante el proyecto de varias fases.
